A Hakkinnen Return.
This whole Schumacher winning than winning and than just winning some more is getting quite boring. i would love to see hakkinnen pop along to Frank Williams and say 'let me have Montoyas car and i'll show your f1 juniors how is's done' now wouldn't that stop you dosing off in front of the telly after a sunday roast?

It would be fun, but I doubt it would happen. Mika just doesn't want to and he'd have to go back into the gym!
But I loved watching Mika drive and race. There was an air of pure speed and no BS about him. I miss Mika, but don't want him back, because he doesn't want ot be back. He's having fun though: http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=49615 |

For his own sake, he won't return. I wouldn't like to see a "Mansell return" of Mika.

Wouldn't wish that on anyone really......
If Hakkinen returned he would have to give up his new lazier lifestyle with his beautiful family and home and his cigars and alcohol etc......it won't happen. Unless he's stupid. |

He's had his day...time a few others gave up too!...make way for all the young tigers being churned out each season.
Imagine if Kimi had never got his break cos these old guys hung onto their $$$seats!!! I wish the Schumachers would quit...there should be a rule...100 races and you're out! Last edited by Rennen; 7 Feb 2004 at 00:56. |

Don't miss him one bit. Throw atleast half of the field in the car he had when he won the championships and they'd do just as well.

Yeah Mika would need the two seater just to get him to fit in the McLaren
Hes made his money and now he is enjoying life. As for the comment about 100 races and your out.. i dont beleive in that, but i do think that its the teams fault. They employ older drivers because of the experience factor. Panis is the perfect example. Sure he was fast before his accident, but hes never been the same since. Something happened in Mika's accident in Adelaide that clicked his brain into thinking, "hey, i could be a fast driver'.. the complete opposite happened in Panis's circumstance. Toyota would be better off with Briscoe this season. Im glad Jordan isn't going with Verstappen either. He hasnt been on the podium since 1994. He should bring someone young and fast in. Not McNish for god sakes. McNish is older then Verstappen !! and Firman, well he simply isnt good enough. Jordan nees a youngster with raw speed. That is what hakkinen had... hakkinens always had raw speed.. panis had it but lost it... webber has it, fisi has it... there are drivers in f1 without raw speed and they need to be taken out of the sport.. not the 100race rule -jason |

Why would Mika even want to come back? He's had his day, won races and championships, and has a very healthy bank account, plus enjoys his family too much.
