Chamberlain split, Viper / Skyline programmes to come and Brit Gt news
Hugh Chamberlain has left the team he set up in 1980. He now plans to run a pair of vipers in the FIA GT championship, and a pair of Nissan Skylines in the British Gt championship. A LMP 900 programme is also in the pipeline. In other Brit GT news, Lister hope to expand their fleet to 3 cars for the series this year. One for Rob Barff, who drove the Tuscan R last year, and for James Pickford, who won the only ISC race in a Lister. The other car is being aimed at a couple of "big names" apparently. Several news teams will enter or return to the british series next year, after the demise of the ISC and ELMS. Ian Croft has announced plans to run a porsche 996 GT3 and a Ford Mustang in the series in 02, with Graham Nash stepping his assault up with an ex Mowlem Porsche [996] and saleen S7 for the Gt class. Finally, TFM has aquired a pair of ex NCK Marcos LM600's, which they will run the series this season. The future of the British GT is looking up no?
