Chigley should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Silverstone Classic

Looking at the provisional timetable I'm wondering if my eyes are deceiving me; is Friday practice only from 09:00 to 14:25 or have I missed something? If correct what a wonderful opportunity to look around the infield displays.

I'd wager it is a typo on account of that timetable allowing 30 minutes for 8 eight qualifying sessions, which seems a little optimistic.

Considering Delta's annual Ten-tenths BBQ is scheduled for 19.45 on the Friday, I'm guessing the finish time would be nearer 19.00. Just noticed there's no mention of the "celebrity" race on the timetable either. Last year that took up about 3 hours of the Friday evening!

The celeb race is Saturday afternoon.

Working on last years results sheets I reckon there will be about 4.5 hours of Qualy from 13:55 so that takes it to about 18:30.

I always worry about the term 'celebrity race' which usually means you'll see neither.

Strange that the timetable has changed so much since my original posting
http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125947
I suspect that they'll be busy editing it massively very soon - must be close to getting final proofs away to the printers for the programme & similar paperwork?

Silverstone Classic

I've just located a provisional timetable from the Group C website: http://www.groupcracing.com/pages/45
Looks as if it's gonna be a busy weekend - what a way though to round off Saturday night with the Group C boys racing in to the sunset. Joy!
See you there

Looking forward to this event. Never done it before as I've always been away but I'm only doing Friday and Sunday as I'm spending time with a relative on Saturday. Plus I get to test my new tent out

NewYankee01 is heading for a stewards' enquiry!
the worst ive seen this year was a meet at donington for something started 13:30 ended 5! i think it was superstars, didnt go on the friday
i dont know about most people but i prefer to see things after the races when everyone starts packing up because what i find, the day goes quickly enough without it being only half a day, ive turned up on friday practices a few times, before ive put my bag down and checked my scanner its time to pack up again!
i dont like going to friday pra and the days being anything less than 10:00 start
i still get around and see most things, maybe miss the odd car under a cover but no great loss if theres loads of other cars to see.

Outside chance I might just turn up for this on Sat &/or Sun. Am I right to assume I won't have any problems getting in etc...

If you have a Silverstone year pass no problem, security are usually good and let marshals in anyway. If you have any problem give Fay a call on her mobile and we will sort tickets being brought to gate.

Cool, thanks. Probably not going to turn up anyway, tbh. What time's sat/sun sign-on, in case I do?
