RIKB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I expect i missed the explanation, but how come some of the cars in the USGP carried their tobacco branding (Benetton, McLaren & BAR) Whereas others (Ferrari and Jordan) didn't?

'Cause there is a law in the U.S. that allows sponsorship from the tobacco brands in only one championship. So, Marlboro is sponsoring one of the top teams in ChampCars, then Ferrari can't display the Marlboro name.

Hi Jarma

Thanks for the explanation. Seeing Lucky Strike and West on one hand... and Buzzin Hornets and a white blank space on the other caused alot of confusion for this already confused fellow. Asked a lot of people at indy what the reason for that was ....but nobody had a clue (made me feel just right at home....)

take care

botsquad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
the sponsors snuck one in on big brother with the help of fox sports.

the tobacco logos were displayed on all the cars when fox did their pre-start grid breakdown.

I believe that B&H are sold by Gallahers in Europe, but by BAT in the rest of the world (am I totally wrong ? ) BAT are obviously major shareholders in BAR...

I am not sure of this... but doesn't Benson & Hedges sponsor either a golf or tennis tournament here in the states? I don't follow either sport but for some reason I think that might be true. Is Virginia Slims part of the Benson & Hedges family (Womens Tennis)?

B&H sponsor a golf tournament.

Team Kool Green is owned by Brown and Williamson, which is in turn a subsidiary of BAT. Thus the necessity for Mikey Andretti, the third wheel at TKG, to be sponsored by Motorola when he goes to race at the Boneyard next May.
