DSC LMP1 Michelin Tyre Test Report
DSC Free Practice 1 Report (and link to FP1 times) Free Practice 2 has a little over 10 mins to run and lap times suggest it's been even wetter than the tyre test and FP1. Wet wet wet... |

Thanks for the thread. Corvette are here, if you recall, and aren't so far away from the leading GTE. Hopefully fp3 is dry, at least the forecast says it will be. But Sunday looks like a definite rainy race.

Rebellion 1-2 in FP3!
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2018/1...-practice.html Qualifying could be interesting - cars out on track. |

A couple of tenths between the Toyota #7 of Koby and the #2 Rebellion of Lotterer. Lets see how the second driver times play out.

Looks like Kobayashi has put pole out of reach. Just laid down a 1:42.7 in his second go around. Lotterer did a 1:42.8 but the other driver's lap was too slow to make a difference.

That was quite fun, Lotterer gave it a really good shot!
I still hate this qualifying format though. I kind of get it for the pro-am classes, but... Fingers crossed we get a clean first lap tomorrow, and a race long battle between the Rebellions and SMP...there have been far too many avoidable incidents during the course of the season so far. |

Dempsey Proton caught tampering with data logger and disqualified from the Japanese race, and all points scored to date in all championships in the WEC removed from the team.
http://www.dailysportscar.com/2018/1...stigation.html Not sure if the penalty is enough? |

It's in the WEC season thread as well. Their excuse seems WEAK and not making the individual makes me think they told the consultant to do it and know they would be sold out in a second if asked. Surprised they weren't excluded from the season

Very wet. They'll start behind the safety car.

I like the rear view “mirror” in the Toyota.
Very wet, doesn’t look like the running is helping either. |
