Is there a link to this quote?
And, of course, he doesn't say Jos isn't too good for them. And it may also read "Wilson doesn't have enough money for us" Last edited by Adam43; 16 Jul 2003 at 12:39. |

I didnt want to raise the question of money...Jos certainly has pulled in the sponsorship...I would think Jordan might be trying to poach him

Sounds like Stoddart is talking up the price to release him from his contract! Can't blame him for that.

That's assuming that anything the current Minardi owner says does bump up the price!

He would'nt say that about Jos since the sponsorship Jos brought in is one of the few things keeping Minardi together.

Not sure what Minardi's sponsors will think about this. Paul's business plan takes another iteresting turn. of course he's right, Wilson doesn't deserve to be fighting with only Jos and Ralph, as he's clearly headign for the top.

He said the same about Alonso (he did have to return the goods that were'nt his), and Webber who (like Justin) is worth more to sell than to keep.

He has made no secret of the fact that he trys to find talented young drivers and then sell them on for a profit. When you run a team that struggles so much financially is makes sound business sense.

And who can blame him ? Minardi has a tradition in finding new talents.

Well, this has been expected, hasn't it. Wilson has been raising his game over the past few GP's, putting the Minardi somewhat on the map on raceday. Well, at least as much as you can expect of the Minardi. He has done fairly well in pre-F1, is motivated and surely on the up and up. The comparison with Alonso and Webber is truly justified.
Question is though, is Stoddart in the position to actually sell Justin? I understand that Justin has signed a two year deal with Minardi, but no F1 contract is without clausing. Both Matteo Bobbi and Alex Yoong probably have something to say about the business-ethics of Stoddart. |

If Wilson was "too good" it would mean Jos is too.
I think Stoddart is a good bloke and he is helping Justin with any future team. I don't think Minardi competes with any team for drivers (too much difference in budget) But maybe I'm being too naive! |

He did, once, but his sponsor failed to pay.
Of course, that is due to Stoddart |

And of course Yoong fulfilled his obligations by failing to qualify a perfectly good car!
