Can I give it a negative? BS from both Hamilton and Verstappen on the restarts and ridiculous driving from all. Sadly the few wheel to wheel moments were caused by crap rules.
And a good sign Vettel needs to be sent packing, you have to fire him for that. No need to move over and he destroyed both cars. |

I'm giving that one a 10. From a fan perspective I loved it.

I didn't see the whole race and came in at Lap 41. However, what I saw was highly enjoyable. There was plenty of incident, controversy and good racing, so based on that 9.

A 9.Every race since Paul Ricard has been good and if Germany was a 10 this is just below it.

7, some good action, without being an all out thriller

8. The drama at the end might make us forget some fairly routine bits earlier on. I did consider a 9, but that pointless first safety car kept it down to 8.

I cant think of another incident filed race where everyone here agrees on fault for all of those incidents.
And exciting race without any controversy or arguments in the forums...that alone deserves a 10. But seriously, it was the best bit of sport i watched on sunday so a real 10. |

The race itself was pretty good, but part of the excitement came thanks to unnecessary safety car periods (especially the 1st - and the 2nd wouldnt have happened without it).
So: 8 for the race -1 for the stupid and unnecessary looong safety car periods. F1 can and must fo better -1 for the inability to get the right driver to the podium. F1 can and must do better = 6 |

Down-rated to a 7 because of the crassly handled first SC period - otherwise would certainly have warranted an 8....maybe higher.

I watched my son's hockey (field) team win 7-1 on Saturday and 3-1 on Sunday, which neatly adds up to 10 goals for them (and two for him) and completely justifies my choice of 10 for the race

Ayse,
Does technology to record races or watch them after the fact not exist in your country in order to only see highlights? I remember not all that long ago taping races on VHS when I had to go to work and watch it when I got home. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

The only public broadcast service available in the UK this year is Channel 4 highlights. They do a good job and in most cases they cover what's necessary. Let's face it there are generally no more than ten minutes of highlights an any one race weekend anyway. |

Very strange...UK F1 fans should seriously consider moving to Canada in order to take advantage of watching F1 coverage on SkySports for free. Well, when I say free, the sports channels are a part of your monthly cable/satellite tv package with a pile of other channels.

[off topic]True but don't forget the UK pays a TV licence fee of around £170 per annum which covers the terrestrial services. It actually goes to the BBC but you can't have a TV without a licence. So that means a subscription service is in addition to the licence fee, which you would need to get the service anyway. So to watch F1 on Sky (I don't know what the fee actually is) you pay £170 plus (say) £250.00 per year.[/off topic]
