It is always like this on the rally live stages. Dreadful. Embarrassing. And, obviously, the stages themselves are monumentally tedious.
That bridgey hump thing looks a little rickety. |

It was only Eurosport and their partners that screwed it. Even if it was the comms company relaying the sound, it was probably BT and not Eircom. Thankfully the real stuff is over the border tomorrow.
The Eurosport commentator obviously wasn't there. God know where he was. He hadn't even read Motorsport News to read the bit about George Tracey running a Focus and not his 206. He blamed the running order. That not a good advert I agree. Now on WRC.COM it was different. Full sound. Knowlegable Irish commentators and a real feel to the event... And they were actually on site. I think it was RTE's coverage that was relayed. Could you imagine BBC1 showing live Rally Wales GB at prime time? Irish motorsport. Love it! (from a UK citizen as well) |

Its essential for a commentator to give information, not easy if you don't have it to give in the first place. Most irritating, I missed the coverage. grr

I am just listening to WRC World Rally Radio and it sounds like Loeb has broken rear suspension and it happen before the start of the first stage of the morning. However he is currently leading by 4 seconds.

There was drama during this morning's run of Rally Ireland when Marcus Grönholm had an off near the end of the scenic Lough Gill stage, forcing him to retire. The Finn's works Ford Focus RS had a violent encounter with a wall, ripping off two wheels. Grönholm afterwards lost consciousness twice and had temporary memory problems, reported Ford Team Principal Malcolm Wilson, however underlining that his driver had been sent to a Sligo hospital by ambulance and seemed to have already recuperated well. |

Apparently it's pretty slippy on the stages:
Quote:
As well as Gronholms crash Pons has gone off in the Subaru and Atkinson has dropped 20 minutes after an off. |
