Suzuki's Robert Bugden (yes, he is Australian ) got his title defence off to a great start by taking pole & 2 race wins at Ruapuna Park

yes it was gold wasnt it.... the post was about the nz superbike championship - i dont see all the other classes being mentioned here which make up the "road racing chmpionships" ....

Gareth Jones is a young Aussie aswell, he came 2nd to Brendan Roberts in the 2004 Oz Superstock Title - think he might be heading to the British Championships in 08

Bugden had a lot of pressure put on him at different circuits by different people but no one could finish in front of him until the last round and by then it was way to late
There "were" other classes racing we got 7th overall in the sidecars, as we got to grips with the new outfit this season and at the last round at Pukekohe took 2 x 5th and 1 x 4th places which were our best finishes for the season Unfortunately the last round was the scene of a double fatality when two 600 riders collided and both riders died at the track |
