Pug 306's
Do you think that the pug will get a weight penalty like the Vauxhall's, as they seem to be a bit quicker than the rest of the field. I don't think they should as they haven't won everthing like the Vauxhalls'.

No, why should they? The yellow GR Focuses are just as quick, as is Kaye's car.

I believe they should have a weight penalty because the cars are much quicker than their rivals on a lap and perticulaly on the speed sectors.Had Simon not had his wheel go west at Brands he would be even further ahead in the points. This class needs desperatly a scrap for the championship title by as many drivers as posible in order to keep the interest from spectators and TV viewers alike. This may seem harsh on the fastest car/driver combinations but if are left to dominate it will become uninteresting and without public or trade interest the BTCC will fail.
One last point, this is not a one make championship with all the equipment fundimently the same, a car can have a performance advantage from manufacture which assists performance that others can not match. SIMPLE all and go buy a Peugeot. But if you want a one make championship GO GET A CLIO CUP CAR!!!! SCHUH. |
