question on setups for James
James - it's a well known fact you haven't had the same amount of testing time as Jason and Yvan and have therefore not found the ideal setup yet. My husband wants to know whether you have tried Jasons or Yvans setups or are they a 'secret' to each driver.

I have dabbled with the other guys settings very briefly - we all share information that we find useful. Yvan's is a bit too loose for my liking but JP's is more my style. I've tweaked it gradually to my liking but there's still something missing. I'm sure as i test more i'll be able to get closer to the others. After all they will be slightly heavier than me. Knockhill with it's hills are going to be a slight advantage for myself.

So you are going to have a busy day at Snetterton Monday testing some new changes (we will be there!).
For a 'girlie' like me - what can you change on the car? |

Hopefully we'll have a turnaround in competitiveness at Snett. I've been needing more tests like this to tinker with things.
It's mainly the suspension that i'm fine tuning. If i can get it just the way i like it, i'll be able to push it more. I can't go too much into the ins and outs of what i need to do incase someone from the green corner is reading, but i am looking to make the car more stable. I like my car to be smooth and precise. I know i can beat JP and Yvan, just need to find those extra 100ths. |

Hubby still using me as a typist here ....
When you swapped from the supertourer to the Astra did you have to start from stratch with the car or was it so like the Honda that you just need to tweak it. And one from me... You hear of changes being made to suit tracks - how will testing at Snetterton help when the next race is Donington - a totally different type of track (well to me it is)? |

The Astra is a totally different beast to the Accord. It's nimbler, less poweful and much looser. So i had to pretty much begin again. If i had been there earlier i would have been on a level playing field with JP and Yvan, but as i came in late, i had to use JP's setup as a basis for my own.
The testing probably isn't beneficiary for Donington at all really, but it will be for me personally. I can mess around to get the car balanced the way i like and take it from there at Donny. |

Thanks a lot James for the insights. Hopefully we will speak to you on Monday if you are not too busy tweaking your suspension.
Now for goodness sake - what on earth are you doing on here on a Saturday night. It's only us old married folks that are sad enough to be surfing the weekend away. You young 'uns should be down the pub!! |

If you see me standing about on my own, don't hesitate to say Hi. Testing can be a lonely business at times.
As for Dave, he must visit the same pubs as me! That's where i got mine. Nasty draught and it wasn't draught beer either! |

So did you try the 'black stuff' at Mondello. Everyone I have spoken to says it tastes different over there to over here. Personally I think it is still foul - bring out the wine any day.

The black stuff is delightful with a meal - but on it's own I find it a bit harsh.
