Colin McRae: DiRT 2

http://www.codemasters.co.uk/games/?...tory=EnglishUK

Its back! And it is carrying on the legendary name. DiRT 2 certainly looks like a ton of fun and a great tribute to the great man. Codemasters are saying that Colin will play some kind of part in the game.

It looks quite arcadey, but im expecting it to handle like DiRT. It seems to be focussing more on the American 'extreme sport' view on Rallying while still keeping it realistic.

Looks great to me

jonboy1066 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Mmmmmm, they say the've sorted out the online multiplayer, that was the clincher that stopped me from buying the original DiRT.

Race of Champions should be a good addition too

Wasn't the race of champions the last race on the first DiRT game

I just hope they don't get too out of focus with what the series is all about. Colin McRae Rally centered on simulating the WRC, not like this new "extreme" rallying that came up a few years ago with the X-Games and Travis Pastrana. DiRT was good, but the physics were floaty and unrealistic, which was my biggest issue with the game. Same thing with GRID. I miss the old CMR and ToCA Race Driver games. Codemasters sold out to get more casual players in on the series. I'll probably get DiRT 2, but it is a bit dissapointing that they've gone down this road (no pun intended).
