Really Team Modena can be taken off that list, because they are running the Ferrari in GT2 next year.

Vitaphone have the auto invite, but they have to use another car, like they did this year with the Strakka Racing DBR9.

Interesting how all the invites in P2 were for the same car, wonder if that has happened before in any category?

Which is not necessarily a bad thing? The lack of that standard of opposition could encourange some to give it a go whom otherwise wouldn't think it worthwhile?

Perhaps P2 might end up looking a bit more P2-like?

More like P2 as in most of the cars breaking in the first couple of hours and finishing behind most of the GT2 class?

How do you think they got three entries this year?? If they want to do the same thing next year it will happen, its good for the race anyway. P2 looks a bit sparse, could it be more smaller then GT1??

They got 3 entries like Audi got 3 also... by invitation because they are the big boys. Teams should be limited to 2 cars no mater what name they have. Audi Sport Team Joest and Audi Sport North America are both Audi Sport... Peugeot Sport or Peugeot Total... is Peugeot!

One of those years where you'll be begging for quality entries, and there won't be a great surplus vying for the coveted spots.

What adds more to the race? A third Audi or Peugeot, or the Lavaggi or ECO things?

"Things" like Lavaggi or ECO Racing, deserve respect, because guys like them keep up the dream and the spirit of Le Mans when the big boys don't give a damn about it. Where was Audi or Peugeot, or anybody else when the WSC was killed by FIA? Who keep on and who moved?

I prefer diversity... Audi and Peugeot, or whatever big manufacture who wants to do Le Mans, are always very important for what they add to the race, but life does not end there. 2 entries each are enough. If they want more, do like Porsche in the 80's and sell the damn cars to privateers.

I still have in mind Rondeau's victory in 1980!

Yes , I agree with that . But its kinda hard to police when teams set up a differant team (in name) ..... I thought Peugeot's 2nd name this year was a bit blatently obvious .

Well... Audi can (this year, but not in the recent past) argue that they have two works team, each operating in different sides if the Atlantic, but Peugeot? C'mon... Peugeot Sport and Peugeot Total? Regulations says that there is a two cars limit per team... but they don´t limit the quantity of works teams from the same manufacture. Could that be a way of limiting it?

I have nothing against a 2 car rule but if Audi enters 3 cars (because of the 3 auto invites) I am glad Peugeot will enter also 3 cars.

Peugeot's hardly the first to make only subtle name changes.

Vitaphone Racing Team vs Team Vitasystems?
Paul Belmondo Competition vs Paul Belmondo Racing?
JMB Racing vs JMB Competition? (or later JMB vs JMB Racing)
Yukos Freisinger Motorsport vs Freisinger Motorsport?
