I would save your money - sadly I didnt.

Physics seem OK, but the rest is just poor - dodgy car models, recycled stages and annoying co-driver.

Most annoying for me is that in this age of GPS and laser scanned environements in GT5 etc, we have the classic Great Orme stage that has no tarmac and is in the middle of a forest - if Codemasters had attempted such heresy, we would have probably had riots in the street.

Deep breaths, Deep breaths....Nurse!

I heard that the game has Group B cars...

Might buy it for that reason alone.

Sadly it only has some of the Group B cars - No Quattros or 6R4.

I tried it again last night on my PS3 with a G25, and whilst the cars feel good on some surfaces, the rest of the game lets it down.

I got caught out with Great Orme. I put tarmac tyres on and found it was a gravel stage!! Have these guys ever watched the WRC?

Its quite fun as a family game or a 'keyboard racer'. Kids will have enjoy slugging it out with the official drivers, especially in hotseat mode. Its not a sim although cars do respond in general terms to basic setup changes. The format is unrealistic. There are only 6 or 7 stages per rally. Stages are very short - typically less than 5 minutes long. Service is available after ever stage.

It just reminds us how good Richard Burns Rally is. I'm sure RBR helped me with real competition driving. If only the WRC would get together with the developers of RBR and update it with licensed rallies and drivers...

I remember the first WRC in 2010 had P-WRC cars that allowed full suspension geometry changes that I'm sure aren't allowed in real life. Did they fix this? And I'm interested in knowing what peoples opinions are about the inclusion of non-WRC events in the game.

Well I got this game the other week and while it's really not great I am getting a bit of enjoyment out of it. The physics aren't great and the whole thing is just miles behind Dirt in graphics and, most notably, the detail and textures of the stages. But the fact you can run a proper championship drew me in. And the championship mode is quite good, as is the inclusion of PWRC and SWRC. The main problem I have is that the WRC series on the PS2 were my favorite games, and they got some of the best graphics out of that console. I played those games more than any other I can think of, and just kept running championship after championship never getting bored of it. But this one seems to have gone backward from that if anything, and it's just wrong that an xbox game looks worse than a PS2 game.

Overall I'm enjoying the game at the moment, but I have to try and forget just how far advanced other games are when playing.

I enjoyed the 2010 version. Especially online. Never got round to buying this last year though and probably never will now.
