List of Endurance Races
Although Wikipedia is a great help on finding most of the races such as Le Mans and Nurburgring, I think some of the obscure races such as the 12 Hours at Abu Dhabi were missing on that site.
So I'm thinking, I think we need to gather all existing endurance races and group them together as either major races like Le Mans and Daytona, and minor races such as Zolder, etc. What do you think? |

First we would have to clarify what we mean by endurance.
I'm guessing 6 Hours and longer? |

What are we grouping them together for?
(I'm not saying we shouldn't, I'm just wondering why....) |

Off the top of my head:
24 Hours+: - Dubai [GT, TC]. - Daytona [DP, GT, TC]. - Le Mans [LMP, GT]. - Nurburgring [GT, TC]. - Spa [GT]. - Zolder [P, GT, TC]. - Barcelona [GT, TC]. - Silverstone [GT, TC]. - Navarra(48) [GT, TC]. 12 Hours: - Abu Dhabi [GT, TC]. - Bathurst [GT, TC]. - Sebring [LMP, GT]. - Hungary [GT, TC]. - Sepang [GT, TC]. 6-11 hours: - Silverstone [LMP, GT]. - Laguna Seca [LMP, GT]. - Spa [LMP, GT]. - Sao Paulo [LMP, GT]. - Austin [LMP, GT]. - Fuji [LMP, GT]. - Shanghai [LMP, GT]. - Bahrain [LMP, GT]. - Petit Le Mans [LMP, GT]. - Suzuka [GT, TC]. 1000km: Suzuka [GT, TC]. Bathurst [TC]. It's possible I've missed a few of the more obscure events. Seems pretty likely there could be some changes and additions after the LMS, AsLMS, and BES calenders are finalised, anyway. Damn I came up with the exact same idea 5 months ago http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133570
:P It's always a fun thought exercise, but the race organizers are too human to let something like this actually work. |

Take Daytona, Sebring, Le Mans, Nurburgring, Spa, and Petit Le Mans together and group them as major endurance series. Now do the math on the rest... |

I guess you could include the 25 hours of Thunderhill as modern GT cars can enter. Pretty much anything can.
6H of Vallelunga 6H of Misano 4H of Monza 4H of Imola 7H @ Homestead-Miami Does the Belcar replacement still run a 12 hour race at SPA? |

Tokachi 24 Hours? I know it's strictly N1 but if I remember correctly, there were some GT3's in past years.

Not counting the first few running of Le Mans, has there ever been a 24 hour street race? I imagine it would be tough to keep a city closed for that long but it would be extremely cool
