E1-XP Hybrid. The N24 don't follow the normal GT classes - there is a class for GT3, but not for GT2 and GT1 is banned.

The car resembles a Spyker and a Ferrari. *takes cover*
The renderings on that site are amazing. |

Looks very good, like it could replace the 911's in GT3, GT2, and possibly race GT1. Only Porsche road car or production racer I'd want to drive/race.

Definitely not GT1 as Porsche have repeatedly stated that they are not interested in GT1 as they support a single GT class.

The rear/sides definitely share similarities with the C8/GT2R. Last edited by R4z3rw33n; 28 May 2010 at 07:06. |

So that is just my opinion on what should happen, with the ACO and FIA run by what sometimes seem to be 3 year olds, I don't see it done. But it would be butter for manufactuers. One model car. Track day version to race GT3, customer version to race GT2, and beefier car to race GT1 and use the developments all the way down to the non track day road car. |

Don´t think so.
The Wording was "There is nothing new to report in this direction (LMP). We would wish to see the organisators being more encouraging regarding the inclusion of Hybrid Technology in their reglements. This is a unique chance for the Reglementmakers to position themselfes at the Top of the development regarding automotive technology." I understand this was a hint that Porsche would like to see the Hybrid-option also allowed for GT´s. |

What I understand, is that it is a hint to clearly define the hybrid regulations for LMP's and make them a little more bold. I hold this opinion especially after what Michael Macht has recently said about winning Le Mans. |

I agree.
But Mr. Kristen refused any comment below the above regarding the status of LMP at Porsche so an Hybrid-LMP is speculation for now, but could be the favorable way to go for Porsche. My Interpretation below this: Several Manufacturers have expressed that the current blue print of the Hybrid-regulations for LM is too restrictive - outlawing the existing realized prototypes of LMP´s & GTs. Maybe Kristen expressed his wish that cars like the GT3R-Hybrid (add Gumpert-Hybrid, 908 Hy, Corsa-Zytek-Hybrid, ...) should be added to a wider specified LM-Ruleset for that kind of propulsions. I think the discussion is underway right now. But as nothing happens on the Hybrid Front I´m sorry as a Sportscar-fan to admit that F1 - despite skipping the Hybrid-Concept - has been more far ahead with it than the sportscar-scene in its recent state. |

It wasn't earlier. Found it here first, now it's gone private.
http://jalopnik.com/5930976/porsche-...-Morning-Shift Looked to be a private viewing of the 918, however it had an RSR badge on the back with Michelin slicks, front dive planes and other racing goodies. It was not in the "Martini" paint scheme but rather something very similar to the Porsche hybrid. Hope it re-surfaces soon. |
