[iV8SC14R070809] Winton 400, Winton -4-6 April
Its time for the wonders of Winton!
Will the Victorian teams dominate, or will the Queensland blow-ins magic the setup and blow away the field? Or will E70 make a stunning comeback? Its cool having race meetings a week apart from a spectator's point of view... although I bet the teams hate it... Who will win? #888? Or will Mr Tander get up when they announce his continued 5 year deal? |

I got an email from Castrol Edge predictor and thought they had made a mistake !
Seems silly to have two meets back to back and others having a months gap apart. Anyways.. I reckon Fabian will be strong here & take it to the Red Bulls. If karma exists it will be a toss up between him & Lowndes, but I'm sure Jamie will stick his nose in too. Hopefully a stronger round for Bright as well on their home track. 888 14 1 |

I wonder how wet weather will influence things? Assuming that happens...
Who would come to the fore then? Mr van Gisbergen? |

Good news that Fabian Coulthard attained a new lap record today at Winton, that should put to bed all the knockers of the track that have popped up today
Glad it wasn't one of those 888 cars I can tell you |

Shock Horror, while not the V8 Supercars, TBA finally gets a drive. See the results from Natsoft of the Sports Sedans at Winton. I guess perserverance finally pays off.
Mind you, he did only qualify 19th, so may not be worthy of a V8 Supercar ride just yet. This 10min qualifying is ridiculous, no time to do anything except go out there with what you've got and have a blast and hope no one gets in your way.
Qualifying was once an art, now its just a lottery presumebly designed to do nothing but jumble the grid for the race. Why not save more costs and cut qualifying altogether, grid positions for the races being drawn out of a hat, Peter Jackson Dash style? 10mins only is a waste of time. |

Impressive, the dirtiest driver in the WR stable is the only one not to get any sort of damage in that.

Why the safety car for a Volvo parked well off the track and in a safe place?
...One could think it was called so the car could be taken back to the pits for an engine change to ensure the fan-favourite Volvo makes the start of race 2 on the front row.... |
