I really want to see how the LMP1-p's compare to the TS050 with the new EOT.

They've certainly made it hard to see the cars on track when walking between the two paddocks... The fences are either covered in Toyota advertising, green netting or both.

What about other parts of the circuit - there were some complaints last year about the positioning and size of advertisement hoardings around the Becketts/Maggots area that seemed to annoy almost everybody! |

There's a lot more green netting. Especially in the first sector. |

Have Kolles just blown an engine and put oil on track?

They better have a good stock of spare parts on site. The night will be long for them. |

Reportedly Senna has broken ankle, will not race.
I don't think anyone will challenge Toyota unless they have some trouble. If Toyota should win I very much hope that it will be No. 7 at last. Only win for this crew (without Lopez) so far was Fuji 2016. But most importantly I hope that we will have decent fight for the podium place(s) in LMP1 NH which wasn't the case in Spa and LM ultimately. It is only Rebellion so far. Just like Toyota |

Trying to find pictures of the new aero kit of the ByKolles. Anyone?
So far in fp2, Toyota up front again with the #7 in the 1:38's. SMP look to be ahead of Rebellion in the 1:40's, but race pace looks a lot closer judging from live timing. Aston Martin are surprisingly near the front in GTE PRO. |

Is there always this little to talk about before a WEC round? I know the last few seasons would drop off in terms of traffic around here post-Le Mans, but this is surely the lowest post count a WEC thread has accumulated less than 2 days before a race start?
For those attending, I hope it isn't the same story at the circuit! |

AF Corse Ferrari's don't look good here. Way down in the speed traps as well.

One year I ordered late and had to pick up the tickets in a porta cabin just outside the gates near abbey. It might be worth a ring to make sure they’ll have your tickets there.

Just seen a note on the Silverstone website about increased security, extra searches and also a limit to the size of bag that is allowed in.
Does this also apply to camera bags? I would be grateful if someone who is going today could give me a 'heads up' as to how this is being policed and how stringent they are on bag sizes - max 20l being suggested. Knowing how much junk my good lady stuffs into her handbag, we could well have an issue tomorrow! |
