Pukekohe Round
Bro we are back at Pukekohe for the supercars round.
Bit sad to see the demise of this little bullring in the land of the long white cloud. SVG by a country mile, is my prediction. |

I generally enjoy the Poke-a-Kiwi round - track just seems to suit the cars.
The swapping around of vowels is a bit of fun too - like "Grig" Murphy & "Ruck" Kelly back in the day, Craig Baird's "bug cresh" on the main straight and bunch of other instances. Puke is kinda old-school in a similar way to Sandown and that is no bad thing from a viewing point of view. Hard to go past SVG but you never know........... |

Well that was an expensive first lap. Concerned we haven't seen Will Brown yet.

Sounded like car 9 is destroyed. Do Erebus have another spare chassis for Bathurst? Could this impact the Murphy/Stanaway entry?

Three examples of SVG magic today
1 Deliberately slowing down on the entrance to the hairpin in R28 to allow Will to sail past and completely miss his braking marker AND subsequently crash into Waters and go to 4th. 2 Not putting Cam in the weeds when they came together on the fast sweeper in R29. Shane was on the anchors with his right wheels on the grass so as not to totally punt Cam into the fence. No doubt Cam's speedway skills helped too. And then 3 the classic fade to the leftside to straighten up the exit from the hairpin and test Cam's sack size by leaving him on the outside to allow the pass. Not a Red Bull fan but I do admire Shane's racecraft. |

What a great event to sign off from Pukekohe with.
Really, Frosty? I sympathise with Erebus there. Totally unnecessary behaviour. Shame about the likely effect on the Erebus Kiwi Bathurst wildcard which must now be a pipe dream given the #9 priorities.. Some great racing, a great crowd and atmosphere. . |

In this case, Frosty didn't leave racing room and carted the car next to him off - only saw it all once but I actually recall that Frosty was coming up on Will Brown, not vice versa & then drifted wide, carting Mr Brown off. That's why Mr Brown is getting a pass. |

Interesting the highlights on Ch7 didn't show the Brown/Frosty crash at all, just a shot of the displaced concrete wall with Brown's car behind it (I think?) and a brief reference to it in commentary later on - I wonder why?

A great weekend of racing, a bit of work for some teams in the lead up to Bathurst.
A sad moment when Jason’s mum and dad, made the presentation to SVG. |

Mr Waters put his sprintcar skills to good use.
Pity about the DJR pit issue with Will. A cracker of a race. |
