BAR to change name for 2003..

Could it be the start of a Honda works team? On a lighter note, if you had the chance to rename the team, what would you call it? Personally I'd call it Squonda.

Good name Spud! Interestingly, in the letter to subscribers for F1Racing, Matt Bishop, the editor mentioned the name change and invited the readers to contribute to the name changes, Dave Richards and the BAR management will take them into consideration.

No we don't. I actually thought it was going to take off after 2000, but it really didn't, neither BAR nor Honda.
I hope someday they are a force, and I hope that when that happens Villeneuve is there. Jacques and Jock Clear seem the only ones since 1999, and Jacques deserves a good car from a team that has occupied him for the past 4 years... |

We've got some good names here.
Neilap - I don't mean to tease you too much. In fact, I could be tempted to agree with you, but only on condition that Honda takes over the development of the entire car, and leaves Richards to manage the racing side. By development, I mean wind tunnel, suspension, all running parts, electronics, even tyre testing. Oh!! I almost forgot - and the engine. :confused: Valve

Got to hand it to neilap as being the only Honda supporter in here and i quite respect the kind of passion u have towards them. But like Valve said, the only way for them to move forward is to go in as full Honda works team just like Toyota. Heck, i won't be suprised if Toyota performs better than Honda next season.
Their chasis and aero chassis was simply awful and that poking out exhausts :confused: |

I've certainly noticed that Valve, especially in the beginning of the season. A very commendable achievement considering it's their debut season and i beleive with a better line up of drivers, they will achieve better results next season.
BAR + Honda dosen't seem to be a very good combination |
