well at least for michigan anyway...Norberto fontana has stood down for the michigan race because he is not used to racing on super speedways ..so john della penna has asked memo gidley to drive...good luck memo and its great ta have ya back

I think Fontana's showing some good sense here. Dell Penna conferred with him before making the decision & he agrees that he's not ready yet. He hasn't even had any testing time on the big ovals, & admits that he's not yet even used to the short ovals. Would you rather he either run as the 'moving chicane', or put himself & others at undo peril by racing the superspeedway before he was ready?

Good for Memo. Someone should give him a permanent drive. He's a good pilote and a heck of a nice guy. And he could fill somebody's quota of Americans too. Incidentally, so could Moreno, who is an American citizen.
