Yoong Montoya should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
How will you pass the time in the off season?

I wasn't too bothered about the end to this year. Sums up how much interest I lost in F1. Towards the end of the year, I only watched the highlights, except Italy when I was ill and decided to watch the full race. If next season is like this, I might even abandon F1 altogether and just look up the result in ten-tenths.

But how will all you F1 fans out there pass the time until race 1 of 2003 next March?

i think 10 tenths will help me through , but luckily weve still got the british winter series national race meetings to attend before it all really stops for the winter.

Yes, winter nationals, fifty years of Autosport and Motor Sport magazines, modelmaking (must finish that Ferrari 625A that's on the work bench), 600+ motorsport videos (think I may re-watch the 1961 Monaco Grand Prix)....

Off-season....?

Karting all the way!! There's nothing quite like freezing your ass off bombing around some god forsaken field on a crisp winters day!

Yes, old footage of the learning slopes can be fascinating. I know for a fact I've got some tapes of Dario Franchitti, for example, running Formula Vauxhall. Now, if I can just get some of the BBC footage Paulzinho's got of his dad's racing career, I'll be a happy man.

That's true, I may dust off the Buggy that's been mothballed since it broke four of my girlfriends ribs, and see if I can't work out why (which will of course involve bombing around a godforesaken field, or quarry)

True. Same with me. I was an obsessive running to see each mintue of everything, this year I hardly watched the qualis because I knew what will happen on each one

I'll spend my time studying, working on my both F1 sites and my forum and making a Michael Schumacher voodoo doll, so the 2002 season won't repeat.

Looking through my VHS collection for old IMSA, CART and F1 races, ranting on here, watching BTCC and DTM, and trying opportunistically to build my own reputation by capitalising on Bernie's call for a more exciting F1, attempting to build a concensus around several key points I've been pounding into people's skulls for the better part of the last year.

Oh, and college.

I'm thankful this season is over. I was bored more during the season than before it.

What will I do to pass the time? Watch some of my old F1 videos (where there was actually RACING), play GP2 (where it's possible to OVERTAKE), look for work...and get really, really drunk on a few occassions.

When the Chequered Flag fell at Suzuka, I was glad (or I would have been if I had watched the race), this season has been so pathetic, an absolute joke.

I'll probably muck around with GPL and GP4, and read some of my old motor racing magazines and the like.

just remembered one race i want to watch on video during the winter months....somewhere ive got that great Cart race in Canada where Zanardi is at the back off the field and comes through to get the lead , then gos off at the hairpin and end up dead last and a lap down , only to drive his ass off and drive past everyone to take the chequered flag in P1 ...

You're joking, right?

I'll just probably watch season reviews over and over again and fool around with GP4 and DTM Race Driver...
