undertray downforce LMP GTP

hello guys,

I am trying to design a lmg gtp but I dont no what is better;

What is better a radius to the flat bottom of the car,
or is a sharp edge to the bottom of the lmp gtp better likewise Ferrari F2003 GA.

Can you explain what is better a radius or a sharp edge for the total downforce.

radius is better because it compresses the air more smoothly creating less turbulence than a sharp edge

THR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
yea 50mm rad i heard, off BARs aero guy.

so id go with that.
would guess it creates less turbulence

Ithink a progressively increasing radius might actually provide more downforce. It is something you really need to experiment with to get absolutely right

Which competition are you intending to compete in. (superlights?)

Radius of the bottom leading edge of the splitter? From what I've heard from the wind tunnel boys, a large radius creates a pitch sensitive setup. So your best bet may be a variable radius along the length of the bottom edge to get the best of both worlds.

The pitch sensitivty would come from a consistant stall speed across the chord of the surface? A varying radius would also create different stall speeds and pressure along that chord, right? It is desirable to have something like the washout in airplane wings I would think, but then I am just sitting here drinking beer after a rotten work week, so what might I know?
