It was the best formula ever! The best value for competitors and chassis builders, a fantastic show for fans... Of course, the drivers and tracks back in the glory days of F5000 were a far cry more exciting than today!

If it was brought back with the same rules it would soon cost as much as F1 which is why it failed after a few years in the 70s.Reality is that no one can afford a technology war,thus almost everyone has gone over to spec cars.Actually some of the original F5000 cars are still active and are racing on Sunday at Brands Hatch!

How would they cost as much? They used stock block engines.
