I see Mr Bain says he wants to cap the works list to only six different manufacturers.
I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. What do you think? |

I suspect that this has only come up since he has had to fit the NSC drid into the same race!
I cannot see any sense in restricting manufacturer involvement. |

He's bloody mad... Just because F1 can only allow a certain number doesn't mean that a now-struggling Touring Car Championship can - or should - do the same thing.
I think they'll have a problem coming up with six in any case... |

I guess Mr. Bain wants to give the impression that the BTCC is just as exclusive and prestigious as F1? Or perhaps, he wants to maximize the number of manufacturers racing b/c it will mean that PR/coverage will be at worst only 1/6 of the total allotted time?
But IMHO, he isn't helping the situation any further. |

As the works teams should win everything what incentive have the smaller teams got? If there are so many works teams they haven't got a chance for glory. I mean even Matt Neal would struggle against 12 'top' cars/drivers. And are works teams the way to go - it's so easy for the series to be so reliant on them and as with Nissan & now Ford - they just walk away. |

You could hardly say that Matty struggled against ten this season, so I can't see another two drivers really being that much of a problem. He'd probably just punt them off anyway...
