The Texas grid
here is the starting line up for the Texas race this weekend.
1. Tomas Schekter 2. Scott Dixon 3.Tora Takagi 4.Tony Kanaan 5.Felipe Giaffone 6.Kenny brack 7.Al Unser Jnr 8. Gil deFerran 9.Bryan Herta 10.Helio Castroneves 11.Roger Yasukawa 12.Scott Sharp 13.Dan Wheldon 14.AJ Foyt IV 15.Greg Ray 16.Sam Hornish Jnr 17.Vitor Meira 18.Robbie Buhl 19.Buddy Lazier 20.Buddy Rice 21.Sarah Fisher 22.Jaques Lazier. Airton dare was also present for AJ foyt but crashed in practise and I dont know whether he will race or not. |

Big drop off in terms of cars from Indy, but that was to be expected. I shall get some beers in for Sat. night and watch the race, I always like the night races.

It's a shame that we're down to only 22, especialyl for Dare. I guess Shiggy will get anothr (undeserved) chance. PDM have obviously gone, and Honda haven't continued to fund Beck for Nakano.

yeah shame about nakano , I thought he has done reasonably well and deserved more time to gain experience.
I guess Indy was more costly for several teams but hopefully future races will provide more cars |

I dislike the fact that indy only has 22 cars, TG's rule to not allow cross chassis hopping in the series was dumb- I am sure every one would love to race in respective events, Indy cars at RoadAmerica, champ drivers finally driving texas...but that said with the exception of Giaffone- Looks like a champcar grid in the top 10!! Every one should fear Target, and that sneaky Tora he is just getting better and better- Any thought of him winning an American Open Wheel race? He did smash Formula Nippon-
