Edenbridge BMW
I heard a rumour that the second Edenbridge BMW is going to be out this weekend with a new driver. Has anyone else heard about this?

I have read on another forum that it is quite likely that it could be out but we are still waiting for confirmation from the team, so with that, Garteh and maybe the Focus there could be 3 extra cars out this weekend.

Heres the Rummors I have heard, and I note Rummors...
A former GA driver in a second Edenbridge BMW. As for the focus mentioned I dont think that will be untill later in the season if at all. |

At a guess I'd say Tom Ferrier? Whoever it is I am looking forward to another car in the production class - let's hope for a quick return for the second Alfa and the addition of the Focus (if that ever happens!)

So had Gareth's. Until this weekend. Who knows, let's not get excited, it's all just rumours right now. Believe it when you see two cars on the grid on Sunday.

We are in negotiation with a driver for the remainder of the season. It will not be Tom Ferrier who is a good friend of ours and highly regarded by us as a driver as we need money to pay bills and Tom is working on his 2004 plans.

The plot thickens!
Thanks for keeping us up to speed, Peter, and good luck in recruiting a second driver. You know my views on the production class this year - way too thin and it'll be great to have another competitive entry. Tell me though, is it possible this will be tied up in time for this weekend or are we likely to be looking at Rockingham? Is it too late in the day to get an entry together for the weekend now given the logisitics of preping the car and everything else such as garage space at the weekend (I believe you're sharing a garge with Team Varta and it'd be a bit tight to get four cars in a double garage??) |

The car is ready, sharing a garage is no problem as Silverstones garages are large enough. However we are waiting for contracts and the horrible money to arrive. This deal only commenced yesterday evening after I had to attend a meeting the teams had with A Gow at 888.I hastily headed south to meet the interested parties in a pub in Westerham Kent and we hope we will be at Silverstone with 2 drivers.

It'll be great to see both BMW's out on track at Silverstone. Looking forward to the new driver unveiling! Michael Bentwood must have been feeling quite lonely out there so far, but doing a fantastic job all the same. The BMW is undoubtedly the best sounding car out on the track so two of them will be even better! Can't wait!!

Another production car. That is good news. Good luck Edenbridge and whoever drives the second BMW.

Whats Graham Saunders doing this year? or Colin Blair, who I personally think is quite likely as he did fund a Super Touring Primera for 2/3 of a season, as well as buying a drive in the proddies with GA.

It's neither of them. It's new person to the BTCC. And GA know them. Goodness knows who that is though.
