ADR all at sea
With Speed unfortunatly out of action
Aussi Will Davidson has had to call it a day in british F3 due to a shortfall of budget! |

Word was that Will Davison's sponsors pulled out due to lack of results in the Championship-winning car. Anybody got any views why, after what seems to be a one-off victory, Will didn't put in the performances? Is this year's competition particularly stiff? Did Robbie Kerr flatter the ADR car? Is Will not good enough? Should he have stayed in Formula Renault another year?

My opinion is that he had too much pressure put on him to perform at a level at which he is not ready. He moved up to F3 too soon, I think, before having mastered the art of winning in Formula Renault. And then to be parked in the Championship winning car and team ... too much for a young lad. And he is still young, needing more time. To me, that's a perfect case of pushing too hard too soon. I hope he can re-group for another go somewhere, somehow.

my opinions are inconcequential (sic). but if you must know, i think it's a mixture of what jinxxy says - chucking someone in too early and too many promises being made about winning things rather than either another year in renault or a learning year in scholarship. best place to learn is in the quiet back end of the field. look at ernesto viso. a year in renault, a year in scholarship and next year he'll be flying.
that's what i think anyway. but i'm not in the team, nor do i know enough to pass judgement. |

So is Will still running with ADR then. I see he is in the results at Spa under ADR then i hear Menu mentioned. Whats going on here is he in or is he out, if hes in who is he running with this is becoming a bit confusing. Rocktracer you started this whats Happening dude?

Davison is listed with the #12 car with Menu, with Doornbos as his teammate.
Carroll is in Davison's old seat at ADR with another Red Bull guy Nelson replacing Speed. |

Will Power is better anyway, no experience of these european tracks and is really getting stuck in there. I hope he can muster a budget for next year as he is genuinely good.

I think you will find that Davison called it a day due a short fall in results than a shortfall in budget. The latter, however, makes a better press release..
Peanuts nowadays don't even buy a seat in Zip never mind F3. |

Did Maher Algadri (Davison's backer) stop paying the bills altogether, or move the money to another team?

Maher Algadri is one of Indonesia’s most successful businessmen, having interests in oil, agricultural chemicals, bottled water and five star hotels. In the 1980’s Algadri owned the most famous hotel in the world – the Beverly Wiltshire Hotel in L.A.
Passionate about motor racing, team owner and races himself in Australian F3 |

I dunno who were Davison's backers, but it's a shame that he is switching teams mid-season, can't be good for confidence or settling in. |
