Villeneuve beats Schumacher ( qualifying differentials for 2000)
I was inspired to write this topic after a comment by Freud.
------------------------------------------------------------ Quote Michael cant dominate Rubens in qualifying I doubt his ability to face Mika?? ----------------------------------------------------------- Here are the average qualifying differentials for 2000( up to and including Indy) taken from http://www.atlasf1.com/2000/usa/borsboom.html Vil-Zonta = 0.656 Schu-RB = 0.480 Irv-Herb = 0.477 Gen-Maz = 0.432 Ralf-But = 0.414 Fis-Wurz = 0.361 Ales-Hei = 0.298 Sal-Diniz = 0.173 Pedro-Jos = 0.104 Tru-Fren = 0.035 Mika-DC = 0.019 As we can see, Villeneuve leads all with Scumacher 2nd. As for Freuds claim that Hakkinen outqualifies his teammate by bigger margins we can obviously see that this is flawed. In fact he is last, with Hakkinen and DC nearly equal in qualifying. As for Freuds argument that RB is driving inferior equipment, this is again flawed. Michael outqualified RB by 0.334 in Indy. Are you saying that Ferarri would prefer to have DC or Mika next to Schumi instead of Rubens at a race so vital like Indy? |

This has been up for a day, and I am yet to have a McLaren response. Seems as if this one it too hard to try wriggle around.

Villeneuve has always out qualify his team mate since his been in F1 look at Damen Hill the first time out he took the lead and never left it only for that oil leak he had to stop .

I must admit that JV has had a pretty good run on his team mates. It would be nice to see him in a challenging car again.
