Courage : possible good news expected for 2004
According to Ouest France, Courage cshould enter two cars in LMES next year, one C60 and one C65, and may sale a C65 to a "great team" !
Let's guess which one ! |

sounds like a possible return of Ecurie Francochamp with that customer C65. If RML decides to come in for the '04 LMES season, this could make for some great racing.
Looks to me like the LMP1's are comming together now, in europe at least, with more cars comming out of hiding to participate in the LMES. Thanks, Fab... Last edited by veeten; 6 Nov 2003 at 13:12. |

Fingers crossed for a good engine for Pescarolo : we'll have news before the end of the year ! The sound of the judd in that car should be as surprising as the 4 liters was in the Panoz 2001' chassis... |

Oreca had their remaining Dallara's up for sale. At one point, it was said one had been sold, yet nothing heard since. Can someone comment on whether Oreca still has one of those Dallara's?

In Autosport a few weeks back DAMS said they are putting together a deal with a manufactuer for a 2 car GTS team in FIA GTs in GTS, and who knows maybe the LMES.

If Oreca do come back I think it would be unlikely to be with a LMP, but perhaps the new Chrysler Vipers? There has been rumors to suggest that they could re form their alliances like they did back in the late 90s..

Now , with Taurus having experiance with the Judd already and running a Lola B2K/10B , here is a perfect opportunity to get their hands on a chassis that has (I would think) a fair amount more development left in it ? What do you think about that idea Mulsannemike ? |

Concerning the Dallaras, the problem is always the cost : the teams interrested by the cars went back seeing the built.
And even if Taurus have enough money to buy/rent one of the two cars, I think they're more expensive to maintain than the Lola B2K. Those ones are made to win ; I don't think they're so far from the top if they enter in 2004, a huge work was done to put them at the top in 2002. And remember the PQ in May 2002 : they had the best lap time at 15h00, even if beaten at the end by Audi... |

I think the main reason the Dallaras were not sold is because there was no series of significant stature in Europe to run the cars in.
Just look at the number of teams entering the LMES who never showed the slighest bit of interest in the FIA SCC. |

I can confirm that they significantly improved the car, the lap time on the Bugatti are good, even with "paying" pilots...
