Well at least we go the calander now and guess what there are clash's with Everything - Oulton clashs with Brands (TOCA), Castle Combe clashs with Oulton (F3/GT), Knockhill and Snetterton (TOCA), The 2nd TBA Round the RAC Rally, Croft with Brands (F3/GT) and the Trackrod Rally Yorkshire, which takes place about 25 miles down the road from Croft..........

It's getting to that stage now though where clashes start piling up, and the organising clubs haven't released their lists yet!
I guess the 2x TBAs are Rockingham and Donington (unless they fancy Cadwell - yes!). Al. |

re: clashes; to be fair, they can't exactly make a calendar which is totally clash free. And most of the SCV8/TOCA clashes are worked out sensibly, i.e. at circuits which are a fair distance apart. It would be daft to have TOCA at, say, Silverstone and SCV8 at the Rock, for example.

On that subject of Clashes, I feel other forms of motorsport shouldnt have to make way for others. At the end of the day YOU decide what you want to see, and like in life you can't have everything your own way!
To be fair, i'd love to see an SCV8 race next year, even if it means missing a BTCC race...the SCV8 is new, its going upagainst the BTCC and what a great way to do it. |

Pretty late starting in the year for it - almost June!!
They did say at one point their TV deal was better than the BTCC - well if it is it must be pretty damn good now! |

Well I wasn't expecting to see one of these for a while!
Season opener at Silverstone...will be marshalling that one then to see how good the series is...if it takes off! |

Perhaps they meant "we want a better deal than the BTCC" They won't get one. |

There was no need for this series to clash with F3 dates if they had been allowed to run on the F3 package as originally planned. Obviously BMP didn't want that to happen because it would have created a better balenced and more attractive package than the btcc package.

Well if the series had been on the F3 package as originally intended, I would have been at every round, with the current schedule I'm not sure how many, if any, I will be able to attend.
I feel the series would have been a valuble addition to the F3 package, obviously too attractive a prospect to have competing agains bmp's "tocatour" product! |

Could somebody enlighten me as to which organising club is running this series (no jokes about the BRSCC please!)?

As far as I know, the SCV8s don't yet have an organising club which is proving to be a bit of a sticking point for them. Perhaps the fact the BARC hasn't got involved is something to do with Thruxton not being on the provisional calendar. Brands GP - too expensive to hire out for club (non-BMP) meetings unless it's exceptionally big. Mondello - too much of a strain on budgets (already, some of the teams involved are hinting that budgets - despite what's come out on the press releases - will be close to BTCC figures).
Also, them flamming up their TV deal before they'd even got one was also a mistake - sickly PR nonsense that usually backfires. |

Not having Rockingham would also indicate it is not BARC.
The key thing pointing to BRSCC now is that the final round at Brands Hatch seems to coincide with the expected dates for the Formula Ford Festival. |

On the lists i have so far, there's a lot from the SCV8 calendar above that tie in with BRSCC weekends given on marshals website...
silverstone, may & august snetterton june oulton, august brands, october IMO that looks like being linked into the brscc to me. Al. |

Im going to a couple of SCV8 rounds probably Silverstone and Brands..
but i'll be going to 7 of the btcc events is there a chance that one of the TBAs will be Cadwell Park? my season pass covers that circuit and i've never been there, 2 birds 1 stone you see. |
