Someone Posted a dream calender before, now I would like to present 'the dream 2001 line-up,' based on entertainment, realism, and my own personnal opinion.
This is the way F1 would be if i got my way ---------------- FERRARI No. 1 Driver: Jean Alesi No. 2 Driver: Rubens Barrichello Reason: Jean Alesi would be brilliant in a Ferrari, and Rubinho is a nice bloke and deserves a decent car. He'd do better without TGF as team-mate. ---------------- MCLAREN =No. 1 Driver: Mika Hakkinen =No. 1 Driver: Alexander Wurz Reason: Well Mika has been at the team since 1993, so he may as well stay. Also, Wurz is better than you think, and would probably win a couple of races ---------------- WILLIAMS No. 1 Driver: Jacques Villeneuve No. 2 Driver: Nick Heidfeld Reason: Nick is fast, and Jacques needs a decent car! he would be world champion if he had a fast car, instead of the BAR. ---------------- BENETTON =No. 1 Driver: Jarno Trulli =No. 1 Driver: Jenson Button Reason: The boy button is not fond of Trulli, and Trulli is not exactly to keen on Button. Jenson even called Jarno an idiot. Think of the rivalry you'd get out of this! ---------------- BAR No. 1 Driver: Olivier Panis No. 2 Driver: Bruno Junquira Reason: An expereinced driver, in the same team as a young gun. Interesting. ---------------- JORDAN =No. 1 Driver: Mark Webber =No. 1 Driver: H-H Frentzen Reason: Mark Webber is fast, Heinz steady and not likely to smash the car. ---------------- ARROWS No 1. Driver: Pedro De La Rosa No 2. Driver: Kenny Brack (From CART) Reason: Pedro is quick, Kenny is the CART rookie of the year, former Indy 500 winner and was Arrows test driver in 1996, so we know he can drive in an F1 car. ---------------- SAUBER No 1. Driver: Luca Badoer No 2. Driver: Kimi Raikkonen Reason: Luca brings cash and experience, Kimi would give speed and youth ---------------- JAGUAR =No. 1 Driver: Ralf Schumacher =No. 1 Driver: Eddie Irvine Reason: There line-up in 2000 was a joke. This is better(?) ---------------- MINARDI (with 2000 Mercedes engines!!!) No. 1 Driver: Michael Schumacher No. 2 Driver: Pedro Diniz No. 3 Driver: Gaston Mazzacane No. 4 Driver: Marc Gene Reason: I'd love to see Minardi win (You know, I'd have to admit I'm a bit of a fan!), and to do that they'd need TGF and Mercedes Engines. The only problem is they'd need three other rich drivers to pay for them!! Forza Minardi! ---------------- PROST =No. 1 Driver: Jos Verstappen =No. 1 Driver: Alain Prost Reasoon: They have had a tough time in F1. If ALain Prost got behind the wheel instead of behind the pitwall, perhaps they'd do alright. Oh and I'd shove Jos in there for good measure. ---------------- Well, there you go! My personnal ideal lineup. I'd love to know what you all think. Also, what is your ideal lineup? HAVE A MEGA DAY! |

Ferrari 1. Jarno Trulli(just to have a local guy with talent) 2. Rubens Barichelo(He deserves some good credit) McLaren 1. JV(now he would have the car...) 2. Button(try succes here huh) Williams 1. Juan Montoya(you don´t need to dream to see him win) 2. Bruno Junqueira(don´t ask why, because I don´t know) Jordan 1. Ralph Shumacher(back to the old days) 2. Michael Shumacher(would he give his brother a chance to be the #1?) BAR 1. Olivier Panis(he can give the team some goos results) 2. Jean Alesi(not a goos car but a "paisano" to work with) Bennetton 1. Fisi(well, he´s already there so why not giving im the chance) 2. Mazzacane(I just want to see he block. but with a good car) for the other teams, I think I will let them pick their own drivers. |

Dream line-up for 2001....Hmmmmm
Well..... Reynard/Lola-Honda Frentzen, Villeneuve, Panis, Trulli, Alonso, Mazzacane Reynard/Lola-BMW Montoya, Ralf Schumacher Reynard/Lola-Ferrari TGF, Barrichello, Heidfeld, Diniz, Alesi, Gene Reynard/Lola-Mercedes Hakkinen, Coulthard Reynard/Lola-AMT Verstappen, de la Rosa Reynard/Lola-Renault Fisischela, Button The Reynard/Lola would be allowed until the teams had built their own CART spec chassis to mate with their F1 engines. Alonso and Mazzacane may, of course, have Supertech engines and not the (Mugen)Hondas. That ought to do it, I think. |

Angst!!!
I offer you very simple decision: just send all F1 drivers and teams to CART for one year and all CART drivers and teams to F1. |

"BENETTON
=No. 1 Driver: Jarno Trulli =No. 1 Driver: Jenson Button Reason: The boy button is not fond of Trulli, and Trulli is not exactly to keen on Button. Jenson even called Jarno an idiot. Think of the rivalry you'd get out of this!" JARNO called JENSON an idiot! Jenson's far too cultured to do that. Besides, he didn't really say "Jenson is an idiot." He just said he was driving like an idiot. No hard feelings or anything, it obviously came from jealousy! JUST JOKING - before anyone bites my head off! |

This line-up would put the four best drivers in the world currently IMHO in the four best cars. That I would love to see... without team orders! |
