Although he never seems blindingly quick, Montoya-style, he just has that solid style which reminds me of Damon Hill in some ways (except in qually of course). He knows how to keep cool, and to maximise the potential of his equipment. Hardly any off days like DC has.
Given the right equipment (say, a 96 Williams ) he should be able to do the job easily. |

I believe that he's one of the stars of the future, but it depends if he's driving the Williams or Renault in 2005.Just wish that his team-mates so far (with the exception of Wilson, although he was still a rookie) had been of better quality.
Would love to see Webber and Button partnered up at Williams in 2005. |

IMO, future multiple race winner, but no championships, probably a couple of 2nds and 3rds in the champs though.

Ask me again if Klien proves himself, or Mark gets the Williams drive for 2005. For now he's only been in average (at ebst) teams with unsuccessful team-mates, in teams which tend to concentrate on one car. There have been falshes of skill, but he needs to learn to follow it up in the races. In Brazil and Hungary he failed to live up to his qualifying efforts.
Jaguar seem to have moved forward overall, but the fact remains that he did less with the car than Irvine - andcertainyl didn't imrpove as much as the season progressed, despite Irvine being much mroe experienced. |

at the moment id say he is one of the future stars!! but as V says it all depends on his choice of teams that will determine weather he'll be a WDC or not.

i think his key quality is that where his team mates seem to crumble he stays level, he is super fit and commited to F1 he could be WDC in the right team but for now its just great to have an Aussie in there.
by the way Aussie's can drive but usually run out of money as they not only need to finance F.ford drives and f3000 drives to get to f1 but also need sponsorship which is hard to come by from Aust. companies when your racing half way round the world. |

A future WDC if he gets his backside in a Williams BMW... if he goes to Renault... it will be a career of wins and competitive outings but no serious series challenges

I don't believe Flavio Briatore would have invested in him if he wasn't going to be a future champion.

Mark is one of the most complete driver in the Feild and most of his peers agree. Mark hasn't won many tiltes 1 think a Aussie FF want does this show ? he didn't have $$$$$ to make it in F1 so it MUST be talent . Mark must be close to being the most awarded driver in F1 of the current drivers again by peers what does this show us ? he is very highly rated by those WHOM count . at the end of the day we are armchair drivers who don't see the full picture .
Mark wouldn't have got the awards hs got now in the three sort years in F1 if he didn't earn it Damn straight his a Furtue Champ and unlikey most current F1 driver Mark can make a team a Champion fighting team Mark doesn't need a top flight team Mark is quite capable of a Tilte in Renault Ps Neilap I take offence to " Aussies cant drive, he is no different!" |

Wrex, and Mark I apologise. Maybe it was not as funny as I thought it would be. Maybe Jamaicans cant tell jokes
Dont remember the race but when Webber was stuck behind a slower Button last season he stuffed the car into the gravel. I laughed at first but after hearing what JB had to say and what Webber had to say I realized how much puts into racing. He said there is no difference between 9th and last as far as points are concerned. He had to go for it. Button also commented on how well Webber was driving. In fact most people seem to hold him in very high regard. It would have been great if Jag had taken JV or someone we know is fast to really pust him. Unfortunately it seems Jag. is not putting the effort they need into the sport. They have been reduced to pay drivers instead of the best qualified. I think I will pay special attention to him this year. |

Hockenhiem, and IMO, that was Marks best race (despite finishing in the Gravel trap).
Most drivers would'nt have taken the chance, or worse taken Jenson out in the attempt. Have to agree with you about Jag. They need to get serious or get out. Webber is all they have going for them at the moment and he wont be there long. |
