Usually Williams like to chuck a load of fuel in, and increase downforce by quite a bit, making the car easier to drive, less accidents or incidents, and increasing the driver's confidence in the cars.

He'll do a sensible job first time out and i'd imagine he'll be reasonably close to the pace by the end of the 3 dayer at Barcelona

At the risk of repeating myself across threads. The story of Ricard testing seems to be Dixon's sensible acclimatisation?
He got to within 8 10ths of Ralf (he hee!) and knocked around 10 secs off his own times throughout the day. Naturally he's wowed by the car and his neck hurts a bit but he's done pretty good i reckon. Not bad at all! Next stop Barca in a couple of weeks!! |

He got a good deal closer to Ralf than that. In fact he was one of the quickest there. Williams must have given him a fast car and it appears he knew exactly what to do with it

Yeah, Three aussies in F1 in 2005! M Webber, R Briscoe and S Dixon.
Yes, I know that he's a kiwi, but I'm sure that we'll find a way to claim him as one of our own. |

No, you can't have Jim. I believe he owns Tasmania now or something to that effect. Oh wait, Tasmania is part of Australia? (Flame bait!)

Can anyone explain to me why Renault needed five trucks to run one car at Ricard - I accept one was a motorhome but still is it any wonder the costs are crazy !
