I'm not exactly sure what your beef is Pierre but it seems to greatly trouble you. In the last few years we have lost Lakeside and Amaroo yet gained QR (after a bankruptcy). We have seen Calder, AIR and to a smaller extent Mallala go into a reduction phase. The sale of Phillip Island as the current owners could not develop it any further. We have talk of lots more street circuits which could be at the expense of more permanent race circuits. I don't think I know of any race circuits making bucket loads of money, which is what I think your trying to suggest.
In terms of fleecing competitors you should have a look at the two Victorian series. The series run by Winton (Benalla Auto Club) and Calder have a significant less entry fee, Calder also had free private practice for the meeting. Therefore I really don't understand where your problem arises, From reading your previous post where you suggested that CAMS are there so we must use them, I would suggest that you go back to CAMS and put pressure on them to become more representative of the industry and then there would not be a need for alternative sourced insurance or sanctioning |
