I don't belong, but I have heard of it (being a Ph reader). But I have been in one or two different cars where you leave a gap to the car in front then goose the throttle to get a aural experience as the exhaust note reverbs off the walls.

Since the run that got into Autocar the Tunnelers' forum has gone 'underground', so you have to be invited by an existing 'member'. I believe the organisers also inform the Police (albeit ones sympathetic to the cause) of the times etc. in bid to keep unwanted attention (from all sides) away.

Reminds me of the underpass at Lancaster University, and the wonderful (to me ) sound of my Honda 400-4 with a baffle-less race pipe flat out in 2nd.. Ahh, those were the days....
