Croft Rallycross
Time to put Knockhill to the back of the memory and look forward to Croft i think. The entry list is up on the RallyX website, but as always at this stage the supercar and super modified look a bit thin on the ground.
Does anyone have any info on Gollop, McCann (blown Turbo?) and Sellar (bent valves)? Think they were the main problems i can remember from the past rounds. Good to see Bellerby back from injury and Des back from engine troubles (?) Should be a very competitive Super Modified grid once again. |

Good to see Mr Bellerby back in action so soon - does anybody know if that's his own car (reshelled) or is it borrowed? Either way, a very impressive recovery! Good to see Bucko has got his Nova out as well, there should be a good scrap in the supermodifieds.
Supercars as ever are thin on the ground at this stage, good to see Tony Bell make a return to the fray though. If I remember correctly Gollop was hoping to be back for Croft, McCann was confident of being there and Doran was hoping to have the Escort ready for Croft. Did Mannings car survive Knockhill? I'd guess he'd be there as well as Grant and Mundy who are both going well this year. As for predictions, Carnegie for the supercars (even if the others do show up), Bellerby for supermodified (glorious return!), Horsley for stockhatch, Binks for the minicross and Powis for the juniors. |

I can not see Dave Bellerby being out as when I last saw him they where still trying to work out how to put the nove engine in the 206. I have not heard anything about Wills car but a least hes had a few weeks to work on it since he has finshed McCluskey's. And didnt that go like a rocket. Kevin's he was not sure whether he could get it fixed on time.Don't know about Mundy, Grant, Manning either.

Hi Craig Yes we have marshals and that includes you. If you know any more you know where to send them. About 65 cars plus about 60 marshals if they all show up.

Still not a great entry list for Croft but i'll certainly making the trip to watch.
It'll be interesting to see how Michael Boak gets on with the ex Terry Briggs Audi. The only concern i have though is whether we'll get the full 3 qualifying heats and finals in the time. At Croft on a Sunday, an engine can't even be fired up before 12 o'clock and the curfew means it can't run on after 6pm. First race will probably not start until 1.15 - 1.30. |

ahhh totally forgot about the curfew. What has happened at previous rounds at Corft or havent there been any? Cartainly sounds like a struggle, christ sometimes we struggle on a full 8 hours (ish)
Lucky i didnt set off aiming to get to the track at 9am then!! |

Ahhhhhh........finally some compromise from the whining locals then.
Must be the reason that Croft finally has a round of the British Superbikes.......the curfew has been one of the big sticking point for years. |

ah right have to revise plans once again...
Looking a very promising round now, cant wait to see the Audi, cant wait to see Chris Evans in a pug, cant wait to see Tony Bell (why doesnt he race more often? I see hes gonna do a round in the ERC later in the year) Whats wrong with Wheatleys Metro? Thought he may have it fixed by now. Queen thanks for the info, how long will the break be at 11? PS cant wait to forget about football and enjoy the racing too!!! |

According to Dorans website he's hoping to be there with the Escort but I guess that's still a bit doubtful (does anybody know how far that's got?).

The break will only be for 1 hour. Des still has not got if fixed yet. I can not remember why when I do I will let you know. As for Par Doran I have not heard anything apart from hes hoping so more fingers crossed. Pat Flynn says his car is not ready yet but will be out at Pembrey. I have run out of fingers now.

Excellent news! The Metro should really fly with that Judd engine under the bonnet.
The modified field is looking a bit healthier now isn't it? There are still a lot of cars missing though, hopefully we'll see them out to play as well. |
