Taurus Diesal Win!

Well the team think it is possible at Silverstone.

Check out this great article on the team.

One question, surely they will run a new chassis next year, possibly a hybrid?

Good to see Taurus sorting some of the relability problems, it would be nice to see them getting some sucess during the remainder of the LMES season, although I think they would fare better in the ALMS - American road circuits tend to favour "torquey" cars more then the European circuits.

Can't see them getting a new chassis next season though' - I think funding is a real problem, and I understand they now have three of the Lola chassis's; that said, the Lola does look ancient now!!

Personally, I would have thought something like the Riley & Scott 3c or the Panoz LMP1 would be a better bet for Taurus than an ex-SRP2 car (although neither of those are exactly spring-chickens!!)

The Lola is the LMP900 car, not the smaller B2K/40.

If the teams has 3 chassis, it may be more cost effective for Taurus to build a hybrid of the car, as NASAMAX did with the Reynard.

Certainly given the NASAMAX a new lease of life.

We'll be having a lot more news on the Taurus Diesel program in the near future. I had quite an interesting talk with Simon and some of our people will be visiting their factory this week -- photos to follow.

My son will be glad to hear that the Taurus Diesel will be at Petit...He's planning to go to Raod Atlanta...

I'd love to, but I'll be in the middle of coaching in my football season...

Guess I'll have to wait until Sebring 2005...
