Championship down to 5!!
Tony Kanaan 463
Buddy Rice 395 Dan Wheldon 381 Helio Castroneves 326 Dario Franchitti 319 Sam Hornish, Jr. 295 with 41 points profit on a race... times 4, there are only a profit of 164 points left, meaning that there are only 5 mathematical contenders in the championship. Although Kanaan basically has it. |

Don't count TK for the crown yet, he hasn't had a bad run of form yet.

He might not - and chances are he won't.
His speed and consistency has been unmatched across the whole season and he'll be a thoroughly deserving champion. |

It's a shame Sam and Scott are out of it though. I can't help feeling that Toyota ahve cost them a chance of competing - that said, I hate Toyota for what they did to CART and WRC (and what they're trying to do to F1), so I'm glad Honda are on top.
Two bits of bad luck for Kanaan could be all that's needed to change the outcome, but he's looking like a worthy champion. He was comfortably the top Honda driver last year as well. |

I have a feeling Kanaan will have an ounce of bad luck before the year is over.
It's almost impossible to complete EVERY SINGLE LAP in the season that he has done so far. What a story though. *knock on wood* |

Not only has he completed every single lap, he's led most of them to!
He's in the groove, and I don't think he'll have any problems the rest of the way. He deserves this championship. I won't completely discount Rice though. He's a cool customer, and if anyone still has a chance, it's him. |

Tony had a good year last year but it was Scott's leading consistency that beat him. This years Honda put him in the box seat. I been a Kanaan fan since he raced in Indylights with Tasman Motorsport so its good to see him finally get it but then I picked Buddy Rice to win Indy...
