It could be worth looking on the BARC website, believe there could be links on the legends championship page to other web sites

Go to www.legends-cars.com (you may have already come from there I know) - that's the official UK site, where any second hand and new cars would be listed.

I know used cars are limited, because some of the teams snap them up for hire drives (because there is so much demand), so it may be best to contact Phil Cooper (series organiser) directly, and he can put you in touch with one or more of the teams.

Another alternative is to source a used car from the oval series, and convert it into a circuit racer, although this does involve a certain amount of work and a bit of money on top of the purchase price to buy the required bits. Have a look at http://www.oval-legends.co.uk/ - cars are listed there occasionally.

I'm not sure that's been done before - best to check with Phil Cooper at 600 Racing before doing anything. Cheers.

It has been done a couple of times I believe. The oval cars are very similar in spec to the ones you buy fresh from the 'States - so just need the same mods for circuit racing - reverse gear, etc. It might even have been Phil who suggested that in the first place

The Legends had their final championship round yesterday. They have a 'winter' meeting at Rockingham on October 2/3, on the Days of Thunder bill.

And the final meeting was a good one too. First I have photographed this year where there wasn't a red flag to spoil things. Pity it was so cold, wet and windy, but that goes with the territory in the UK.

I have some shots on my website if anyone is interested.

The 2/3 October is the Winter Series, nothing to do with the series that has just finished and the reference was to the final meeting of that championship. Or are you extending the series that has just finished?
