Garry McCoy returns to motoGP
apparently Garry McCoy will return to motoGP for the last 3 races of the year with Aprillia as replacement for Shane Byrne.
Check This article for confirmation. Great news for garry , I just wish the Aprillia was going alot better than what it is , but still great to see him back |

Garry's had a disappointing season in WSBK, those bikes jsut don't seem to suit him, and the team's been upstaged by Renegade and PSG, and often by DFX as well. If this goes well he might be able to get bac into the class full-time. He's an enigmatic guy, who seems to struggle when things aren't exactly right for him.

Think he just cant ride the bike unless it has a clear advantage ala the Red Bull bikes when he was the one developing the 16.5 inch tyre.
He has been totally rubbish this year in WSBK, yes he has shown flashes of speed, but for goodness sake he has won GP's and been at the very hifhghest level, he has often failed to qualify for superpole aswell. Shame on Aprilia for not chossing a young kid to have a go, give Podge a chance, would be qiuocker than McCoy even with half a ton of glass in his leg! |

Ouch!
Great news for Aussie Gazza. But okay, 6th overall in the title, with a win against a field that realy is fairly good, I mean - Dissapointing? Ant West's run in Supersport showed that just because you ride GPs doesn't make you a god. I think that as far as Aprillia's choice it makes a fair load of sense - Garry has won at Valencia on the big bikes, Phillip Island is his home track and he scored a podium in 2001 at Malasyia if I am not mistaken*. Remeber, i'm a biased aussie |

Just because MotoGP bikes are faster than Superbikes, and the overall standard of competition is much higher, doesn't mean a rider who wins in MotoGP will automatically challenge in WSBK. Remember that Xerox's second bike was rarely competitive - not every rider or team adjusted to Pirelli tyres easily.
