Rally Games. Which one??
I am going to buy a rally game on saturday but i cannot decide which one. I need to choose between Colin Mac 5 OR WRC 4. I have played and liked CM5 but i want to know what WRC4 is like. I like the idea of it being an official game with the proper stages and doing a proper championship. Can anyone give me a comparison so i can choose? Please help.

If it is an improvement over WRC 1 and 2 which i have, then i would certainly recommend to buy this game.
It's top notch! |

WRC4 is the best rally game ever, 2004 season, real stages, up to date drivers and teams.

RBR is a really tough one to crack. Totally addictive though.

I'm happy with CMR4... No real stages but there are fixes to change the drivers' names...

Be careful with RBR it does not work with NVIDIA card and some others, i know i bought it and cant use it
Somthing to do with not allowing pixel coding or something simular. |

Pixel shading - you need a relatively recent video card which supports DirectX 8 and above. The older Gforce cards for example won't work, but the newer Nvidia cards will.

The Gforce4 is years out of date. I must admit I had one about 1 month ago. When I got RBR I upgraded to an ATI Radeon 9600 - still relatively cheap, but *much* faster than the Gforce4

Bloo-- hell i only bought the pc new last year,
3 years out of date then. When its out of warranty sounds like a upgrade required. |

It depends upon what you are looking for.
MObil 1 Rally Championship...the graphics are somewhate dated and the physics not perfect, but it simulates real rally stages without turning into a 10 minute power slide extravaganza...I think it's Chirdonhead thats a 22 minute stage if you haul a$$. it's almost like an event simulator. However, for more an up to date realistic Rally game check out Richard Burns Rally. IMHO it makes CM and WRC pale in comparison because the physics and stages are very impressive...but then again, maybe you don't want realistic... mogwai |

I'm gonna get RBR in the coming weeks. I had (British) Rally Championship for the PlayStation which had pretty good graphics for the time although the handling was pretty pants, esp on tarmac. The long stages were fun though.
Anyone know what countries are included in RBR? |

Just looked on Tesco.com and they have RBR for £19.97. I saw it in Game for £39.99 yesterday! Well worth a long walk to go get it.

I have had no such problems, but it does CTD sometimes, at random points in the game.
