Sparky should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

A little target on the nose you say? Sort of like a little RAF roundel perhaps?

With maybe a little golden eagle motif at the top?

If so, sounds like you saw a BRM today.

RAF 'target'... That's right!

I said BRM!!

Maisie, didn't I say BRM!?

Maisie...?

MAISIE?!!

Typical. Just when you need back-up...

Wow. Tim, I know I don't have to tell you how beautiful it was, but it was difficult to concentrate on the job in hand with that green monster roaring past, with a BBBWWWWWWAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! as he backed off into the first corner.

Wow.
This was part of a thread in 'Trackside', when ChrisY was testing his 'Mighty Mini' at Mallory Park yesterday. (Wednesday)

I thought it best to start a fresh thread, rather than hi-jack poor Chris's racing career debut!

Where was I? Oh Yeah...!

Tim, this was the logo, as far as I could see:

But this was definitely the car:

As I said, no decals, roundels or numbers, but the car was unmistakeable.

Wow.

Excellent stuff.

Yes, I felt a bit bad hijacking the thread, but at least I had the news of the Mighty Minis on TV to add to it, so I didn't feel too bad.

Now, the next thought is - wonder who is out testing at Mallory with a BRM? If I recall, there are three of those currently in captivity, all of which race to a greater or lesser extent. I wonder which it was.

I've never seen that era of F1's around Mallory. I caught an Aurora AFX British F1 race in about 1980-ish, which was scary, but the sixties machines would probably fit nicely.

Ever wish you could wind the clock back about 15 hours?

If I had realised the cars significance, (And hadn't been so enthralled with my own situation with Chris 'n' co,) I would have wandered over to the BRM camp, said "Good Morning" in my best Sunday morning voice, and asked as many questions as I could have gotten away with.

Rats.

Next time...
