Bathurst - Supercheap Auto 1000 - 6/9 October 2005
Does anyone know anything about the camping situation??
Has anyone received an up to date map with where their camp site is located?? Unfortunately...this is becoming the norm..."A detailed Race Program will be available closer to the Event". I'm going again....who else?? BTW was that David Patersons Torana I saw in the hands of Charles Gruber the other week??? Whats happening with Dave?? Last edited by 275 GTB-4; 4 Jul 2005 at 09:41. We slept on the hill above Hell Corner on the Saturday night last year and froze our cajoles off.
There must be a better way........ |

You could join us in a rented house in Eglington. Early to bed, early to rise, out to the track by about 7.00am. We spent the day at Hell Corner. I noticed a few people around us having trouble keeping with it around mid-afternoon. Maybe you were one of them.
Maybe your local pharmacist could prescribe something to help you, or maybe you could join the Eglington crowd. |

Thanks R8 but would you believe I actually had a house just over the Conrod Bridge in College Road???
Trouble was with all the earthworks at The Chase for the Claytons Apartment complex, our usual haunt at Murrays was packed. When we wandered up to Hell at about 11pm Saturday night, we didn't like our chances of finding a spot for 11 chairs and 11 eskies at 7am. So it was rock/paper/scissors to see who slept on the hill. And to think those other 9 jokers all had warm beds to sleep in!! And a great possie for Sunday morning. Actually I went to Uni with a bloke who had a pharmacy in Bathurst. Was great free accomm. for many years but he's sold up and moved to Queensland...... |
