Green looking good, heres hoping he can have an eventless race so we can see what his race pace is like. Paffet and Hakkinen have got to be the fancied ones though. |

A great shame Gary crashed his car nearly at the end of qualifying, so he couldn't do his super pole lap.
Also a shame Jamie ran wide on his super pole lap. |

I can't believe Mika got pole. I know he's got the talent and it was only a matter of time, but to bag it in only his third race in a new car? That's pretty special if you ask me.
Real shame about Paffett binning it during regular quali, I can't help but think he might have robbed Mika of the moment. |

I have to admit I wasn't expecting much of Mika Hakkinen this year..
He's proved me wrong so far, now let's see how tomorrows race gets on. |

A fantastic result.
Apart from Mika the Mercs aren't up there so it should be a good race as it unfolds. |

Nice to see Mika doing fastest in a Merc again, haven't seen that for a few years.
I really hope Green and Paffett get on the podium and if it's a wet race then it's certainly possible. |

I too expected Mika to do well KB, but I expected him to start at Spa really. As it is, he has done well from the very beginning. Great to see!

It is great to see these cars at Spa.
Ekstrom got a great start and pulled out a little on the first lap or so. Howere Mika had a great stop and came out just ahead after the first stops. Defense into Eau Rouge kept him ahead. Paffet had a drive through after a dodgy move into th Bus Stop. |

Thank god for the tarmac run off and tyre walls at Eau Rouge - that accident for Bernd Schneider was in so many ways a repeat of the one that cost Stefan Bellof his life twenty years ago.

Now a Mika fan! Nothing personal just wan't his number 1 fan back in F1. At first I thought he'd lost it, but after he got into a rythm he was back to his old days in F1, when he set blistering laps, obviously the driver of the day without a doubt.
The DTM the real Grand Prix racing, well what it used to be. |

Mika was supreme on the out laps today, really had the measure of everybody who dared to show up.
What a great 2 hours worth of racing, some guys really showing some brass going side by side into eau rouge. Fantastic. |
