Yup, it was good. However, his highness followed Olivier Panis up the hill, and despite his very best attempts at matching Olivier's burnouts he failed to even get any smoke though the car looked good and it sounded quite nice too.
Still a bit of wierd looking car though, especially in the flesh.. |

Was this a real A1GP car or the converted F3000 that has been seen up till now.? I could not go to Goodwood this year and am dissaponted at zero media coverage despite a 3 day sold out show. Hours of Wimbledon & Glastonbury-where do I apply for a refund on my TV licence?

I believe this was the real A1 car and there was a huge stand at Goodwood with loads of information about the series.

The film crews were there but I seem to remember in past years it has been shown the weekend after the event, rather like they do with some of the TOCA meetings?

There is no traction control IIRC. And it was that Sheik Maktoum fellow (the guy who's idea the whole thing is). Apologies for the spelling of his name.

There is no traction control on these cars - probably just him showing off, knowing him. GB driver/s should be announced in a few days ...

hmm, i'm yet to be convinced about the cars. they look different, i'll give them that, but i heard someone refer to them as "sheds" and i think he may be right...
has there been any reports from non-sheikhs who have driven the car? |

Hopefully I'll get to see it on ITV this weekend. I'm glad it sounds well. As for the looks, well being different will only help it. It took me quite sometime to get used to the new GP2 cars (although they do look right) and the IRL cars (they don't IMHO). Both times they are now 'normal' and fit. |

Will Davison drove one at Eastern Creek not long after he tested a Minardi earlier this year.
He was rather impressed with it - saying it was quite a good thing. |
