FIM Winners Game --> Germany

Ninth and LAST round of Summer Cup. Don't forget we will begin the Autumn Cup in Brno.

AN ESPECIAL RULE APPLIES IN THIS LAST ROUND: TITLE CONTENDERS BLUE, DANI F, SALEEN AND SCHUMMY CAN OPTIONALLY PUT THEIR GUESSES BY MEAN OF A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO MARCUS INSTEAD OF WRITING IT IN THIS THREAD (THEY CAN USE THE THREAD IF THEY WANT, THOUGH).

AFTER THE LAST RACE, MARCUS WILL PUT THOSE GUESSES HERE IN ORDER TO COMPUTE THE FINAL RESULTS.

Rules are:

----------------------------------------------

Object of the game:
You have to guess the winner. You can put one, two, three or four riders as winners.

Scoring:
If you put one rider and he wins, you get 4 points.
If you put two two riders and one of them wins, you get 3 points.
In case you put 3 names and one wins, you get 2.5 points.
If you choose to put four names, and one of them wins, you get 2 points.
If you fail to guess the winner, you get 0 points.

Time limit:
Guesses can be done until one hour before the first race (125, 250 or MotoGP, whatever it is). Usually it will be one hour before 125 race.

Remarks:
Every FIM GP three guesses can be entered: for 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Those are three differents games, so you can enter only one or two categories if you like.

Appart from the three classifications (125, 250 and MotoGP), I'll put a "global" classification adding all of them.

The key of the game is to predict the winner putting the least possible numbers of candidates. But if you put too few riders, you risk getting 0 points!

Example:

Let's suppose in Jerez you had put these guesses:
125 = Simoncelli, P.Nieto, Lai (you get 2.5 points for Simoncelli)
250 = Porto, Dovizioso (you get 0 point, you failed)
MotoGP = Gibernau, Rossi (you get 3 points for Rossi)

Good fun for everybody!

Okay fine, I'll just do what I allways do, c'mon, don't let me down:
500s : Colin, Rossi, Hayden (ie: Sete Victory)
250s : Stoner, Dovi and Pedrosa (Remember how much he spanked 'em last year? So, Porto will win)
125s: Talmasci, Kallio, Lai. (Talmasci crashes, taking out Lai, and Kallio gets passed on the final corner by some freaky German wildcard.)

Lol, I have been out in the beach for two days and now I have arrived too late for my guess!

It's a pity, but anyway I was lucky in former rounds because of other people missing the time limit, so I take it as a sort of "poetic justice".

125 is over now (i'm not going to spoil the result yet), and MotoGP is next.

For Autumn cup, I think I'm going to introduce two "bots" as players (just for fun, they cannot win the Cup).

First of them is "Botty", who always guesses the WC leader, the poleman and those who has more wins (in case of more than 4 riders, it drops "more wins" riders according to 2nds, 3rds... positions).

For Germany, its guess had been:
MotoGP: Rossi, Hayden
250c: Pedrosa, Angelis
125cc: Pasini, Kallio, Talmacsi
(not bad, isn't it?)

The second one is "Copycat" and I'll introduce it just some races. It puts a guess based in the set of guesses of all the players in the round. The procedure is a bit complicated and I will write it later (just in case someone is interested!). In Germany its guess would be:
MotoGP: Rossi
250cc: Pedrosa, Angelis
125cc: Kallio, Pasini, Luthi

Now MotoGP is going to start, so let's watch the race!

Germany brought a lot of points, and the winners of the Summer Cup!

First, the results of this round. Sadly, marcus gueesed too late (and I don't even mention my case! ). marcus had gotten 3+3+3 points.

Yes, Dani is right. We have applied that "one hour before the first race" rule from the first round (and sadly some people lost points, I'm one of them ). When you strat aplying a rule you cannnot stop

My case is "tragic" ,I could win the Total Cup... but I profited because others also missed rounds so I take it with philosophical calm [-_-]
