Race + Wall + Courtney = ???
another damaged car.
I think he should of done his time in the development series first before the real thing. On the other hand I reckon Whincup is the real deal....was doing very well until putting a foot on the grass. He's one to watch this year |

Would they run him in the development series and put Glenn Seton in the main drive seat if this happened for another 2-3 rounds ?

Interesting to see the release from the team Here seems different from that of the driver's recollections

Ch 10 commentary suggested that he was hit from behind and that seemed to be the case. If that is correct......not his fault again.

From what I saw Courtney only hit the wall with the front of his car, the backside didn't touch the wall so with that big spoiler hanging off his car, I'm sure he was tagged by someone else. If only we could find out who and a video of it!

I would have thought with Netspace not sponsoring the V8s any more, they might still want to stream data from #10's coverage.. |

He definately got hit - there was an obvious sidestep by the car immediately behind him going from the inside line to suddenly on the outside line. Ingall's in car footage backs it up.
CH10 stated the cars have all the in car footage though. Wheres the rear view video then? |

As I have yet to see today race all I can say is Take it easy on the Kid. Remember that both Wayne Garnder and Garth Tander were both dubed crash easy drivers when they started in the taxis.

AVESCO/VESA do have incar cameras and telemetry in each car and I'm sure they know by now who turned him around or if he did it himself.

Yeh but it is a bit late to do something about it, if they would have done something about it in the first place -- I doubt not ( As it was a FORD )

Hopefully better luck tomorrow. It's reverse grid isn't it? So Courtney would be on the front row? |

I feel sorry for James. Every track he has raced V8s on have been surrounded by very close unforgiving concrete walls. By my count he has only made 2 mistakes and the 3 others were not his fault. If they occurred at other circuits they would have probably ended in a relatively harmless (to the car) spin or trip into the kitty litter and much less uproar.
There is no question he must improve but calls for Glenn to replace him are premature and would be a backward step. Last edited by dsg; 31 Mar 2006 at 12:07. Reason: spellink |

The cars closest to him just before the incident appeared to have been one of the DJR cars and the two WPS cars. He had a bit of a rub with one of the DJR cars coming into the previous corner (seen from the aerial shot on ch 10) but it cuts away. I'm wondering if the DJR car was giving him a bit back from missing out in the previous corner or if they continued rubbing all the way through the corner and into the straight???? The next shot from the front its hard to tell as JC's car is already bouncing off the wall and you cant really tell which car was right behind him. Once again 1 x DJR and 2 x WPS are definitely in the vicinity. |
