New TGF? That's kind of insulting to Ralf.
But it was a very TGF-esque victory. Start to finish, incredible in and out laps, and just so well-deserved. He didn't put a foot (or a wheel) wrong all race, and no matter how much you hate him (Moffat ) you can't fault this race. Last edited by Ralf's Girl; 15 Apr 2001 at 14:06. |

I do think that...however I dislike TGF intensely, so I don't like to see Ralf being compared to him.
And, having said that, I want Ralf to be the first Ralf Schumacher, as opposed to the new Michael Schumacher. He's a racing driver in his own right, and perhaps the people who doubted this will finally have opened their eyes today. |

Ralf will be Ralf the First and with BMW power he can be WC this year or in 2002. However, to borrow Liz's wit, TGFLB does not sound to me like a put down but a reminder of his accomplishments.
Ralf's determination and first victory today owe as much to his talent as to having been able to overcome going through the ranks as "Little Bro". Ralf must be pretty tough upstairs. He seems to be able to focus on the task at hand and let the rest of the world take a flying leap. That will serve him well on the track, where it counts. |

I'm not often caught praising a Schumacher but Ralf did good. A great drive that didn't give anyone a chance to come close.
Montoya was unlucky after planting another great move, this time on Trulli, if only he could finish. Hakkinen clearly doesn't care any more. TGF decided... 'can't win so won't play'. Good race. |
