Seems a bit of a square circuit - but that should present great overtaking opportunities.
Great for it to be easily accessible to all though, and we all like street races... |

Good for you, Kiwi3. We look forward to some on-the spot reporting!
Here's a random thought for you; just remember you read it here first. How about Team GBR using Oliver Jarvis as the main driver throughout the weekend? The circuit is new to everyone and he's eligible to take part in all the practice sessions. Kinda makes sense, huh? |

Track time is invaluable as demonstrated by Hulkenberg, Zaugg, Hinchcliffe and co, so yeah it would make sense. Besides Kerr and Manning had their chances and achieved relatively little so why not do a Team Canada and try something else?
A bit unrelated to the topic: Does anyone know if there is any testing lined up before China? |

Is that infrastructure for the exhibition centre still under construction, or is that the start of preparation work for the race?

I think that this is brilliant news for A1GP, constructing a street circuit is a very expensive project to undertake. They obviously think they will raise enough revenue for to pay for this, and that is really good for such a new sport. Good on ya guys.

Looks like an interesting track, gun shaped, coincidence with Casino Royale release that week?
That hairpin looks fun. |

Ticket prices on the official A1 web site seem to have almost doubled since I ordered mine a week or so ago. Not sure what to make of that.

Was in Beijing today although didn't get a chance to go and check the circuit. It was surprisingly warm for this time of year, still over 10 degrees. That may yet change by next weekend however.
Didn't see any billboards but heard an A1GP advertisement on the radio station the taxi driver was playing so obviously some promotion going on. |
